Welcome to the official website for the First Ontario N.S.D.T.R. Club’s Specialty Show. JULY 27th -JULY 29th, 2012 in Barrie ON.
This is the Ontario N.S.D.T.R. Club’s first Toller Specialty Show. It is unique in that it is the first Toller Specialty in Ontario or Canada to be held without the participation of an All-Breed Club and at a separate facility. This show is put on by Toller owners and Club members specifically for the enjoyment of other Toller owners and their dogs.
We plan to make this event fun, exciting and affordable for all Toller owners and fanciers so they can take part in the many events as participants, spectators or some of both. Toller owners who do not wish to enter events can still take part and enjoy all the fun games, the barbeque, raffles and other events and watch Tollers doing the many things they love to do with their owners.
Friday July 27th, 2012 starts off with WC/I/X Retrieving Tests at the Scott Farm north east of Barrie. There are good areas to watch the dogs retrieving and doing what they love best. There will be a cold lunch, a raffle and presentation of rosettes on completion of the tests. These tests are for all dog breeds eligible to enter under CKC Working Certificate Test rules.
The following events are for Tollers only:
Saturday July 28th, 2012 is Toller Events Day at the Red Barn Event Centre in Barrie. There will be Agility, Obedience, Junior Obedience and Rally Obedience trials throughout the day. In the afternoon the fun games will begin followed by the barbeque and awards presentation for the Most Versatile Performance Toller in Specialty.
There is free parking and overnight camping at the Red Barn. Hydro can be arranged by contacting the Red Barn but there is no water hook-ups. There is access to the indoor washrooms all weekend.
Snacks, tasty lunches and refreshments are available at the onsite Tip and Sip Café during all events held there.
Sunday July 29th, 2012 starts off with Sweepstakes judging followed by the Junior Handling competition, then the Toller Specialty with prizes and trophies awarded from puppy classes to Veterans and on up to the Best of Breed Specialty winner.
More details will be added to the individual pages as they are confirmed so check back often.
